Trailer Entering Melaka RnR Damages Several Illegally Parked Vehicles, PDRM Probing Incident

Videos circulating online show an incident at an RnR stop in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, yesterday (28 December) involving illegally parked vehicles.

In the footage, members of the public can be seen trying to move a car to clear a path for a long trailer. The heavy vehicle ended up striking several parked cars.

PDRM probes incident involving a trailer that struck illegally parked vehicles at Ayer Keroh RnR

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has addressed the matter and confirmed that the incident is under investigation.

Alor Gajah District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Abu Bakar, said the accident involved a trailer and private cars, which were damaged as the trailer attempted to enter the RnR lane.

“The accident involved a heavy vehicle trailer and three private cars. Further investigations are ongoing,” he said when contacted by Berita Harian.

Ahmad added that the case is currently being handled by the Bukit Aman Highway Investigation Unit (USLR).

He also urged the public not to speculate on the incident and to cooperate fully with authorities to help with the investigation.
