This seems like quite an unexpected meet-up, if you ask us!
Earlier this morning (20th December), the Johor Crown Prince (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim took to Facebook to share photos of him casually watching a football game with none other than football stars David Beckham and Mesut Ozil from Arsenal.
According to TMJ’s post, the two star athletes had invited him to watch a match between Arsenal and Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in London. Ozil also presented a gift to the Crown Prince, which was a custom jersey with ‘TMJ’ and the number 84 printed on it.

Malaysian netizens were pretty ecstatic to see one of our own royalty among such well-known athletes.

This certainly isn’t the first time TMJ has met with David Beckham, though, as they had previously met in 2017. The two were photographed when TMJ presented Beckham with a Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) jersey bearing his name and his signature number 7.
