For those of you who might not know, the founder of a care home, Rumah Bonda, Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, is currently facing potential charges for allegedly abusing a 13-year-old girl, Bella, who has down syndrome.

The allegations brought forward by witnesses are truly staggering.

Siti Bainun had apparently forced Bella to eat over a thousand chillies, rice with vinegar and spoiled chicken. Witnesses also mentioned that Siti Bainun had allegedly kicked Bella and has repeatedly poured scalding, boiling water on her.

Since then, Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, has taken to social media to show his support for Bella by offering his lawyers’ services to the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.

He wrote, “I have contacted and discussed with my lawyers regarding the abuse of Bella. The case is currently being tried at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court and the public prosecution team has started proceedings against the accused in this case.”

He went on to explain that the case involves 2 parties, the public prosecutors on behalf of the public and the government, and the lawyers appointed to represent the accused.

“I will contact the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Harun, and offer my lawyers’ services to hold a watching brief on behalf of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development for this case, free of charge,” he added.

We genuinely hope that justice will be served in this case.
