Our pride and child prodigy, C Sree Abiraame has once again made Malaysia proud with her amazing achievements.
The ice skating champion bagged three gold medals at the Middle East 4th official ISI International Figure Skating tournament in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), which took place on 14 and 15 February 2019 (Thursday and Friday). Winning three gold medals isn’t an easy feat.
According to NST, the seven-year-old skater became the champion after collecting a PERFECT score of 5.0 points in the girl’s freestyle category for 7-8 years old. She beat UAE skater Emirati Norin Angela who came in second with 4.0 points.
After that, she bagged a gold medal in the Solo Camp Freestyle event after Sree scored another impressive 5.0 points.
Meanwhile, Norin claimed the silver with 4.0 points and fellow compatriot Mizuguchi Hanabi won the bronze after scoring 3.0 points. Congratulations to these girls!
FYI, Sree got her first gold from the competition in the girl’s 7-8 years old Speed Skating event which was held on 14 February 2019 (Thursday). So proud!
On the last day (16 February 2019) of the tournament, Sree will compete in two more events which are Artistic Freestyle and Footwork 1. After his, her father B. Chendren hopes that Malaysians will pray for her success in the two last events.
He was quoted as saying,
“I hope all Malaysians will pray that Sree succeeds in the subsequent two events.”
We are definitely rooting for Sree and we hope she brings back more gold. #fingerscrossed
Having said that, Sree’s achievements don’t come as something new because two months ago, she won four gold medals in the Asia Tour. Hopefully, she manages to bring more gold for Malaysia in the near future!
