Three PDRM officers in Kemaman, Terengganu, were arrested to assist in the investigation of the loss of Yamaha RXZ motorcycle components that were placed in the case goods store at the Kemaman District Police Headquarters.
Kemaman District Police Chief, Superintendent Hanyan Ramlan, said the arrest was made under Section 379(a) of the Penal Code after Yamaha RXZ motorcycle engine components were found missing from storage.
In a report by Kosmo, Hanyan said 2 of the arrested suspects are huge fans of Yamaha RXZ motorcycles.
“They are die hard fans of the motorcycles and they also have that type of motorcycles. Investigation is still ongoing.”
Hanyan also said PDRM will not compromise with any parties, including policemen who break the laws.
The suspects, aged between 26 and 32, were arrested on Tuesday (6 August). According to another report by Sinar Harian, all three suspects were released yesterday (August 9) on police bail.
“2 of them were brought to the court on Friday for an application of continued remand, but was rejected.”
Hanyan said he would prepare investigation papers immediately and refer the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.
