One of the bad habits that some drivers have in Malaysia is that they prioritise their own convenience instead of other road users or pedestrians.

Just visit any nearby residential areas, shop lots or schools and you’re bound to see either a car illegally parking by the roadside or worse, double parking their vehicles and causing inconvenience for others.

However, when it comes to disregarding the rules and not being mindful of others, this luxury SUV owner has got to be on another level.

Shared by X user @hadiharhar, he posted a couple of photos of the luxury SUV parking on the pavement of a sidewalk at the junction in Lebuh Ah Quee in Georgetown, Penang. This essentially blocked pedestrians from using the sidewalk freely.

In the post, @hadiharhar called out the SUV owner for being selfish and tagged the Penang City Council, presumably to get the council’s attention and take the necessary action against the vehicle. However, he didn’t disclose when the photos were taken.

The post resonated with other X users who took to the replies to criticise the driver and give their two cents on the illegally parked vehicle’s owner

One commenter said that the photos show that the rich are so entitled and they can afford to pay summon. Meanwhile, another netizen shared how he allegedly saw a famous Malaysian parked their vehicle like this just to eat nasi kandar at a restaurant.

Another commenter found the irony of the road being named “Lebuh Ah Quee”, as it sounds like “Lebuh Aku”, which means “my road” when translated to English.

So, what do you guys think of the illegally parked luxury SUV? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
