AmBank Group hosted close to 100 senior editors and journalists at its annual AmBank Group Media Get Together 2026, held last night at the iconic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Kuala Lumpur.
The evening brought together the Malaysian media fraternity for an evening of camaraderie, appreciation and celebration, underscoring AmBank Group’s longstanding relationship with the media and its commitment to maintaining open and meaningful engagement with journalists and editors.
The event was hosted by Jamie Ling, Group Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Group, alongside Shazman Shahid, Head of Group Corporate Communications & Marketing, and Ridzuan Zulkifli, Head of Strategic Communications & Media Relations.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, the gathering came just days ahead of Malaysia’s 69th National Day, providing a fitting opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Malaysia Kita and the shared connections that bring Malaysians together.
Guests were treated to an evening inspired by “Old Malaya”, celebrating the charm, nostalgia and cultural heritage of an earlier Malaysia, complemented by live entertainment and a repertoire of timeless favourites.
Special Showcase: National Day Brand Film
In conjunction with the Merdeka celebrations, AmBank Group also showcased its latest National Day brand film, which highlights the enduring spirit of unity, shared values, and hope across generations of Malaysians.
The Merdeka film can be viewed on AmBank Group’s official YouTube channel.
The annual Media Get Together is a key platform for AmBank Group to express its appreciation to the media fraternity for its continued support in keeping Malaysians informed and for amplifying the Group’s messages and contributions to the nation.
The event also reflects AmBank Group’s belief that strong relationships are built not only through professional engagement, but through genuine conversations, shared experiences and a spirit of Winning Together.
