It appears that Malaysia is getting more and more dangerous for women, even in a public place in broad daylight.

The latest incident that’s taking social media by storm took place in front of Plaza Masalam, in Shah Alam.

Netizen, @adlinakml, took to her Twitter account to showcase something that happened to another girl in the parking spaces in front of Plaza Masalam, where she had returned to her parked car to find 2 (presumably foreign) men hiding by her car and after attaching a nail to the bottom of her front bumper.

Nail 3

The girl wrote, “There are suspicious people loitering around girls’ cars at Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam. Girls, please be alert and stay safe. They attached a nail to my car.”

The girl had front parked her car into the space, where there was a tree. The 2 men were allegedly hiding by squatting near her front bumper, under the tree.

Nail 2

“Just now, these 2 men were creating a disturbance by my car by loitering and they wouldn’t leave, and when we didn’t want to get into the car, they hid at the front of the car so we couldn’t see them,”

“And when we wanted to enter the car, they got up from their hiding spot and walked towards us but there was another car entering and they just stood behind my car, and there’s a nail attached to my car at where they were hiding.

Nail 1

Some took to the post to question why they attached a nail to the car, which led a netizen to explain the men may be using this tactic to get her clothes caught in the nail to distract (she’s going to have to unhook her clothes from the nail) and assault her.

We’re so thankful that the girl got away safe and sound and we hope that others will beware of such strategies that target girls.
