In the past few years, all things cheesy have been taking on Asian countries by storm. In terms of food, our Asian roots concentrate mostly on spices, hence we have more soups and sauces in our dishes.
Cheese is a staple introduced to us by the Westerners. Of course, our love for the stringy, salty, creamy and thick dairy product only blossomed recently.
Since the hype began, we’ve been incorporating cheese into all sorts of our local dishes. Yes, even in Bak Kut Teh!
Well, for the ultimate cheeseburger, this crazy food stall in Jurong, Singapore decided to flood a whole burger in cheese sauce!
Just look at that amount of cheese banjir!
Nadim’s Delights is a brand new establishment around town and they’re completely Halal-certified so anyone can definitely have a plate of goodness over there. The stall is located in a Jurong West coffee shop, Coconuts reported.
The stall owner came up with this Burger Banjir to definitely target all the cheese lovers out there.
The sinful burger is made out of two breaded chicken patties, some veggies to balance out the unhealthiness, a dollop of mayonnaise, some nacho cheese, and a whole lot of melted cheese generously poured over the whole burger.
The cheesy burger also comes with a big handful of crinkle cut fries and some baked beans – all for the price of SGD7.50 (RM22.80) only!
Best of all, Nadim’s Delights also sells a variety of Western food options. If the Burger Banjir is way too excessive for your liking, then you can try their chicken cutlet, fish and chips, and black pepper steaks.
They also offer snacks such as cheese sticks, onion rings, chicken nuggets and even the all-time Malaysian (and Singaporean) favourite, satay!
