Recently, a peculiar case took place in Thailand and was talked about by many.
SinChew Daily reports that the Nakhon Nayok Hospital in the Chao Praya Basin, Thailand has kickstarted an investigation into how an ambulance driver who was transporting a patient had stopped to buy pisang goreng when on the way to the hospital.
It is said that the incident took place on 13 October when Sommai Tongkerd, 64, had breathing difficulties. Seeing this, his daughter called for an ambulance to get him to the hospital.
However, when they were on the way, the driver had made a brief stop at a roadside stall to buy pisang goreng. It is understood that the driver had ordered the food beforehand and was there to pick it up.
As the patient’s daughter was in the ambulance, she was appalled by the driver’s actions and made a complaint to the hospital but did not receive any response from them.
She then posted a post on social media and the hospital quickly sent some representatives to apologize to the family. The patient’s daughter mentioned that she does not want anybody else to experience this and when asked about the developments of the case, they say that they are still investigating.
In a statement issued by the hospital, they said that the driver only stopped for 3 minutes.
Thankfully, the patient recovered in a day after being sent to the hospital and was promptly discharged.
Although 3 minutes may sound like very little time, many things can happen in that time frame. What is your take on this? Let us know in the comments.
