A teenage boy allegedly impersonated an assistant medical officer at a hospital in Kangar, Perlis, before being discovered by real hospital staff members.
According to a report by Kosmo, a video of the incident has since gone viral on TikTok, showing the boy wearing a green clinical uniform, similar to those worn by actual health workers.
In the video, the teenager explained to the real hospital staff members that he had purchased the outfit, complete with a name tag with his ‘position’ as an assistant medical officer, as well as several pieces of equipment, such as a stethoscope, from a popular online shopping platform.
He also revealed that he did this as he wanted to help provide treatment to patients.
The police are aware of this but have not received any reports
Kangar District Police Chief ACP Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop has since shared that his department has yet to receive a police report in regards to this incident.
