Sex is quite a taboo topic in Malaysia but we totally have to address the importance of it – which is; having sex would make you perform better at work!

That explains why I’m so terrible at my job…

It seems that having sex right as you get home from work can give you a boost at work the next day, according to a new research, The Star reported.

The study was done by a team of researchers from Oregon State University, the University of Oregon, and the University of Washington, which was then posted onto the Journal of Management.

They had 159 participants answer a survey everyday, for 2 weeks. Those participants were all married and were employees.

The results showed that employees who had sex after a long and hard day at work were more energetic during work the next day.

Thanks to having more positive moods, it led to a more engaged and satisfied employee throughout the whole day.

Co-author of this study, Keith Leavitt explained that this is an important finding.

“We make jokes about people having a ‘spring in their step’, but it turns out this is actually a real thing and we should pay attention to it.”

The researchers even considered the marital satisfaction and sleep quality of these participants. Regardless of gender, the positiveness of the employees who had sex the night before lasted for AT LEAST 24 hours.

It goes to show how vital it is for employees to be satisfied as their moods will affect their performance at work, and ultimately the whole company.

“Maintaining a healthy relationship that includes a healthy sex life will help employees stay happy and engaged in their work, which benefits the employees and the organisations they work for.”

Keith explained that making love helps release certain chemicals in our body. One of them is dopamine which is a natural chemical that makes us feel high in happiness. The other is oxytocin which helps elevate our mood.

Aside from just the moods of employees at work, the study also measured how bringing work-stress home can negatively impact our sex lives.

Keith explained that it was easy for work to follow us home with the advanced technologies we have today. Our work is constantly connected to our phones. The researcher recommends us all to leave work in the office and let time at home be the moment for ourselves.

“This is a reminder that sex has social, emotional and physiological benefits, and it’s important to make it a priority. Just make time for it.”

After hearing of this research, many netizens were desperate to find a partner.

No wonder my performance at work is so bad. Please… someone offer help!” one netizen said.

Me too, bruh. Single and available here. Any takers?

Though sex is encouraged to help employees perform better at work, please do practice safe sex. We don’t want any ‘accidents’ or infections, right?
