The Federal Territories National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) arrested 38 individuals during the first “Op Pusat Hiburan Series 1/2026.”
The raid took place at a Kuala Lumpur entertainment centre at 12:30 AM on Saturday (7 February) after suspects tested positive for various illicit substances.

Taking to Facebook, AADK revealed that the operation involved 68 personnel and focused on venues identified as hotbeds for drug abuse.
AADK stated:
“Of the total number arrested, 30 were men, and eight were women, aged between 22 and 61. Initial screenings confirmed that all suspects tested positive for various drugs.”
Investigations revealed a growing trend at these centres: mixing drinks with drug powder. A single packet of this powder is reportedly sold for as low as RM280.
Treatment and rehabilitation

AADK explained that the operation aligns with recent amendments to Act 283 of the Drug and Substance Abusers and Addicts (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983.
“This amendment expands the agency’s scope, allowing for the arrest, treatment, and rehabilitation of not only addicts but also general drug and substance abusers,” the agency shared.
AADK emphasised that their goal is not just to make arrests, but to ensure those involved have access to effective recovery programmes.
“AADK urges the community, especially the youth, not to use illicit substances as a form of entertainment. The use of synthetic drugs not only causes permanent mental and physical damage but also carries a high risk of fatal overdose,” the agency stressed.
