The skateboards are now sold out.

Tony Hawk, a famous American professional skateboarder has recently become the ambassador of the water brand Liquid Death. As a part of the brand’s campaign, Tony Hawk is giving some of his blood to make the Liquid Death Skateboard.

“Thanks @liquiddeath for this rare opportunity but please be careful with my life force. Looking forward to our future “collaborations” as long as they don’t involve replicants,” Hawk shares a video on his Instagram. The video shows his blood being infused together with red paint to create the limited edition skateboards.

The skateboard is in the colour red and features a graphic of a muscular man with the head of the Liquid Death canned water. The man is also carrying the head of a hawk and an axe.

“OWN TONY HAWK’S BLOOD! FOR REAL!” Liquid Death’s official website stated. Selling at 500USD (approximately RM2097) per skateboard, there is only 100 units available. As crazy as the idea may sound, this limited edition skateboard was just introduced 4 days ago on 25 August 2021, and they are all sold out now.

Reading the comments under Tony Hawk’s post, netizens are giving mixed reactions to this blood-infused skateboard. Some find it extremely cool and brilliant, while some think that it is very weird and scary.

However, the fact that the skateboards are sold out almost immediately shows that there are many people out there who would pay to own just a little DNA of the legendary skateboarder.

What about you? Do you find the idea of it bizarre or refreshing? Let us know in the comments!
