Siti Nurhaliza’s ‘Career Switch’ to Deliver MET Malaysia’s Weather Report on RTM Surprises M’sians

Have you ever thought about what career you’d pursue if not for the one you’re currently in? It seems like Malaysian singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza may have found the answer to that question for herself!

Last night, the nation’s sweetheart made a guest appearance delivering the Meteorological Department’s (MET Malaysia) weather report on RTM’s news broadcast.

In the broadcast, she reported on the latest news about the weather as well as information on the Northeast Monsoon. She delivered the weather report for the 5pm Berita Wilayah and the 8pm Berita Perdana.

You can also watch her in action on MET Malaysia’s YouTube channel. The total views so far for both the evening and night reports has surpassed 27,000 views.

In an Instagram post, the Jerat Percintaan singer thanked MET Malaysia for the opportunity.

“Thank you MetMalaysia for inviting me to collaborate in presenting the weather forecast and weather conditions on 21 December 2022 (Wednesday).”

“It is hoped that the collaboration will encourage the public to keep an eye on weather conditions and to act according to advice when it comes to risk of disasters such as floods, strong winds and rough seas,” she wrote.

Her spontaneous and convincing delivery was so natural that it garnered praise from Malaysians.

Online, netizens were pleasantly surprised by the singer’s unexpected venture into weather reporting and thought she would make a great weather reporter.
