A foreign woman working as a cleaner in Malaysia took on the responsibility of raising and caring for a boy who was abandoned as a baby by her friends.
The woman from Bandung, Indonesia, was reportedly cheated by a job offer and later ended up in Kajang, Selangor, with nowhere to stay, forcing her to sleep in a men’s toilet at Kajang Stadium.

She disguises herself as a man to avoid sexual harassment
Malaysian philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, better known as Uncle Kentang, stepped in to help the woman after learning that her phone had been stolen.
He bought her a new phone, and also brought her and the boy for a meal at a restaurant.

“She is unmarried, from Bandung, and works as a cleaner. Her permit is valid, the young boy’s documents are in order, and so is her passport. She was cheated into working for another person and was later sent to Kajang with nowhere to stay.
“She slept in the men’s toilet area at Kajang Stadium as camouflage because if she slept in the women’s toilet, she feared becoming a target of sexual harassment. She purposely dressed like a man to avoid sexual harassment,” he wrote in his Facebook post.

“She’s a hero to me”
Uncle Kentang also arranged temporary shelter for the woman and the boy by placing them at an old folks’ home until she can get back on her feet.
