Disney fans, this will excite you.
Hong Kong Disneyland is bringing its talent search to Malaysia, opening a pathway for local performers to step onto the global entertainment scene.

On 20 and 21 June, Kuala Lumpur will host live open auditions to discover a new generation of performers who can truly “bring characters to life”. According to an official statement, the two-day event will be held at the Asia Ballet Academy, starting at 10 AM on both dates, and will be led by Hong Kong Disneyland casting directors.
A search for versatile talent
The casting call goes beyond traditional stage acting. Selected candidates may have the opportunity to participate in:
- A wide range of diverse performances
- Large-scale stage productions
- Vibrant parades and interactive character meet-and-greet sessions

These roles are central to creating Disney’s signature immersive experience, requiring performers to combine a strong stage presence with engaging, dynamic interaction skills.
Malaysia: A growing creative hub
Organisers state that expanding recruitment to Malaysia reflects their confidence in the country’s diverse and energetic arts community. In recent years, the local scene has grown significantly, nurturing a pool of promising performers and making Kuala Lumpur a key stop in Disney’s latest Asian audition tour.

The tour has already visited Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand in search of fresh talent. Adding Kuala Lumpur to the list not only broadens the search but also offers more Southeast Asian performers the chance to step onto an international platform.
Those who successfully pass the audition will be offered the opportunity to work in Hong Kong, participating in various entertainment productions within the park and gaining first-hand experience in Disney’s creative ecosystem. For many, this could mark a turning point, moving from regional stages to the heart of the global entertainment industry.
Online applications are now open, and audition guidelines are available on the official platform.
