Halloween is a widely-celebrated international festival where people get to dress up in costumes and do scary things, like bring about the apocalypse?

We all know that there are Malaysians who are not very accepting of foreign cultures and celebrations, and it looks like they also believe that such festivals can trigger the end of the world.

The Negeri Sembilan kini Facebook page recently shared images of a huge Halloween celebration in the capital of Saudi Arabia, a country where the festival was previously banned.

They wrote, “It’s so scary to see videos of the massive Halloween celebration in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.”

Malaysians echoed the Facebook page’s sense of fear, adding that the monumental celebrations are bringing forth the apocalypse.

“The head of their country is welcoming it, too much evil has happened. The world is coming to an end.”

“Signs of the end of the world.”

“It’s true that the apocalypse is nearing.”

Others highlighted that Saudi Arabia is also home to non-Muslims, and that they could be the ones involved in the celebrations.

“These could be Arab Christians. Don’t think that just because they’re dress like that, they’re Muslims. It’s a traditional attire.”
