Yesterday evening (11 July 2018), the nation was shocked by the disturbing news about a Tahfiz (religious) teacher who was arrested for performing oral sex on an underage student.

According to The Star, the 14-year-old boy initially refused the teacher’s request but consented to it later because he didn’t want to hurt his 21-year-old teacher’s feelings. Poor boy!

This disgusting crime came to light after the boy shared the whole ordeal with his family when he went back to Johor on 26 June 2018, according to Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Hamzah Alias.

He was quoted as saying,

“The encounters began in May this year (2018) when the teacher approached the 14-year-old boy and demanded to perform oral sex on the boy.”

“The boy refused at first but later relented and allowed the teacher to perform oral sex on him for about three minutes.”

ACP Hamzah reportedly said that after the first time, there were “five other similar encounters”. Thankfully, after being notified of the series of encounters, the police have arrested the teacher at the Tahfiz school in Hulu Kelang on Wednesday (11 July 2018). Thank goodness!

ACP Hamzah shared that the teacher will be remanded until next week on Wednesday (17 July 2018) for further investigations on the case.

He also added that the case will be investigated under Section 377C of the Penal Code for “committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent”

This is a pretty serious case since performing any form of sexual act against a minor is lawfully wrong. I could only imagine the horror the boy went through! Hopefully, the authorities get the case sorted out soon, so the guilty can be prosecuted.
