The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has identified several locations where unlicensed vendors conducted hawker activities that caused a public nuisance.
Taking to their Facebook page, MPAJ highlighted that they recently issued compounds to these vendors in accordance with the provisions of the MPAJ By-Laws 2007, to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.

Based on a report by Harian Metro, among the unlicensed vendors who received a compound was a popular social media influencer and entrepreneur who sells Wagyu pizza using a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
“MPAJ always supports the development initiatives of local entrepreneurs as a driver of the community economy. However, we sincerely hope that all parties can comply with the rules and laws set in order to maintain mutual harmony,” MPAJ added.

In an effort to come up with the best solutions to ensure the unlicensed hawking activities do not recur, MPAJ will hold meeting sessions with the relevant authorities to discuss the matter.
