Ladies, looks like you need to throw away those jeans because a professor in Kerala, India, might have discovered that the root cause of transgenders and autistic children is your tight, male-inspired denim wear. Say what?!
Rajith Kumar, who is a botany lecturer (he studies plants and yet he comments on what women should wear) at Kalady’s Sree Sankara College, came up with the statement in a TV interview he had recently.

As quoted by India Today, he said,
“A woman who dresses up like a man, what will be the character of the child she gives birth to? These children are called transgenders.”
He also stressed that obedient children are a product of men and women who dress and live like men and women. I’m confused, how else should a man and woman live?
He further elaborated that, “When a woman degrades her womanhood and man degrades his manhood, the girl born to them is man-like. The child this girl later gives birth to, will be a transgender.” Right now you are degrading yourself, sir.
Rajith Kumar also preached that autistic children are caused by men and women who rebel and disobey the norms, especially those jeans-wearing ladies. Evil jeans are evil.

But looks like Rajith Kumar would not be making anymore statements after this as the state minister for health and social welfare, KK Shylaja, has banned him from being involved in any government program.
The minister explained that Rajith Kumar has been consistently coming up with sexist ideas and at the moment, they are working on taking legal action against him for such derogatory remarks.
However, Rajith is very firm about his opinion. He justified his remarks by saying that they were “based on science and years of experience”. But you study plants, sir. What does that have to do with your remarks?
