Picture Of Indian Kacang Seller Spark Big Malaysian Controversy

An image of an Indian lady grieving over her kacang that was left all over the road has torn Malaysians into a huge debate. The incident was said to have occurred outside Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB).

Inconsistent reporting from several media portals has left Malaysians confused as to what actually went down.

Without any context, the image seem as if police officers were shooing her away from selling her goods at the roadside. In a moment of chaos, the kacangs were spilt while the policemen just stood by and watched.

There are some who even rumoured that the officers were the culprits who threw her kacang on the ground.

Many offered their sympathies and expressed their outrage as to why the policemen wanted to disturb an innocent lady who work hard to earn a living.

However, alleged eyewitness claimed that that wasn’t the case. In fact, it was the lady herself who threw her items as an act of protest when she was asked to move from her spot because she was obstructing traffic flow.

Isu Buang Barang Jualan: MBI Kesal Tindakan Viral GambarIPOH: Pihak Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI) menafikan tindakan kasar yang dilakukan oleh pegawainya terhadap seorang penjaja makanan seperti yang ditunjukkan melalui gambar yang telah diviralkan di laman media sosial sejak semalam.Gambar tersebut menunjukkan seorang wanita India sedang tertunduk sambil hasil jualannya yang bertaburan di atas jalan raya dan kelihatan pihak penguasa MBI berada di lokasi itu.Individu yang memuat naik gambar tersebut mendakwa pihak Penguatkuasa MBI telah bertindak kasar dengan menaburkan barang jualan penjaja tersebut di atas jalan raya.Menurut Setiausaha Bandaraya, Mohd Zakuan Zakaria kejadian tersebut sememangnya berlaku di Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) namun pihaknya memberi jaminan bahawa tindakan tersebut tidak pernah berlaku.Namum bagaimanapun, beliau bakal memberikan kenyataan penuh berhubung insiden berkenaan setelah mengadakan perbicangan dengan pihak hospital petang ini.“Berhubung tindakan penyebaran isu dilihat tindakan mencemar nama baik pihak Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh.“Perkara ini perlu dapatkan perbincangan lanjut daripada pihak hospital kerana ianya berlaku dalam kawasan hospital,” katanya.Tegasnya lagi, situasi yang dinyatakan dalam viral berkenaan adalah tidak benar dia mencemar nama baik MBI dan sekaligus menjejaskan nama baik kerajaan negeri.“Saya melahirkan rasa dukacita kerana isu disebarkan tanpa penjelasan lanjut namun ada beberapa pihak dan saksi telah menjelaskan perkara sebenar.“Yang salah tetap salah jika kami salah kami akan mintak maaf tapi dalam kes ini saya peringkat awal bukanlah salah oleh pihak kami dan akan dijelaskan nanti,” katanya.Tambahnya lagi, Penguatkuasaan penjaja tanpa lesen perlu merujuk kepada pihak MBI dan memohon lesen dan pihak MBI akan melihat kesesuaiannya.Ujarnya MBI seharusnya dilihat bagi membantu peniaga menambah pendapatan dan dalam kes tertentu turut menerima aduan berkaitan dengan penjaja tanpa lesen malah pejaja mempunyai lesen tapi meniaga di lokasi tidak sepatutnya juga ada.“Pasar-pasar antaranya mereka berniaga sehingga ke simpang jalan dan banyak operasi dijalankan tetapi kita masih beri kelonggaran.“Apabila disebarkan ini saya tidak mahu sebarang isu membabitkan kerajaan negeri kerana pelbagai bantuan telah disalurkan,” katanya.Semua pihak dinasihati supaya memahami keadaan yang berlaku dan pihak MBI perlu mengambil tindakan terhadap penjaja yang tidak memiliki lesen namun MBI tidak akan mengambil tindakan seperti yang ditunjukkan iaitu membuang hasil perniagaan.“Ianya tidak berlaku saya berani jamin,” katanya.http://peraktoday.com.my/2015/08/isu-buang-barang-jualan-mbi-kesal-tindakan-viral-gambar/
