Previously, a video went viral in which a man claimed he was punched while queueing to buy breakfast at a restaurant in Puncak Alam, Selangor.
According to the Sungai Buloh District Police, the incident is believed to have happened after the man coughed behind an elderly man while they were waiting in line to buy food.


The elderly man then suddenly became angry and punched him, while the victim was also pushed and shouted at in front of other customers. The victim later lodged a police report.
Following the incident, the victim, Ahmad Zhafri Samsudin (@ahmadzhafrisam), said he hopes it will serve as a lesson for the elderly man involved. He added that he has chosen to forgive the man with an open heart and full awareness.

“I choose to forgive him. If the Prophet Muhammad was able to forgive his followers, who am I to not give someone the chance to correct their mistake?”

Zhafri also expressed his appreciation and thanks to the investigating officer and all personnel involved in tracking down the elderly man.
“Alhamdulillah, after nearly three days, through the continuous efforts of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), especially the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sungai Buloh District Police Headquarters, the individual involved has come forward to surrender and give his statement.
“May this incident serve as a reminder that violence is not a solution, and every action carries consequences and responsibility,” he said.
