Hospital responds to the viral incident

In response to the incident, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) has assured that action has been taken following a viral video involving birds entering a ward.

The hospital explained that pigeons and crows have been using trees around the premises as their habitat, which may have led to birds accidentally entering the building.

It added that to address the issue, HTAR has implemented regular control measures, including tree pruning by the concession company as well as ongoing monitoring of the wards and hospital buildings.

Additionally, HTAR has also worked with the local authority (PBT) to strengthen efforts in controlling bird disturbances around the hospital area.

“HTAR takes this matter seriously and is committed to ensuring the hospital environment remains safe, clean, and suitable for the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. All appropriate measures will continue to be carried out from time to time to reduce the risk of similar incidents happening again,” the statement read.
