Philip Morris Malaysia Welcomes Sunny Sharma as Director of People & Culture

Philip Morris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (PMM) is proud to announce the recent appointment of Sunny Sharma as the company’s new Director of People & Culture.

With over 13 years extensive experience across prominent global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) organisations, including Procter & Gamble, Reckitt, and Philip Morris International, Sunny brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His professional journey has taken him across diverse geographies, enriching his understanding of cultures and markets, including India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the UAE.

Sunny has played a pivotal role in building capability within their organisation. Joining PMM as Head of People & Culture for Commercial Operations in 2019, Sunny became Head of Leadership Development & Strategic Projects for Asia in 2021, then assumed the role of Regional People & Culture Head for South Asia & Southeast Asia in 2022. Throughout his career, Sunny has demonstrated his personal commitment to driving organisational excellence across diverse regions.

Announcing Sunny’s appointment, PMM’s Managing Director Naeem Shahab Khan said, “We are excited to have Sunny onboard to assist in navigating our transformative journey, driving Malaysia to become a smoke-free nation. Sunny’s proven track record will guide our strategic initiatives, developing people and organisational culture in Malaysia, with a focus on leadership development, employee engagement, well-being, and organisational effectiveness.”

Sunny Sharma’s appointment underscores PMM’s dedication to strengthen its robust foundations in diversity and inclusion while fostering a high-performance culture. Moreover, Sunny remains committed to continue driving a positive workplace culture and developing the talent mix and career development within PMM.
