The roles of fathers and husbands are ones most men undertake with diligence, given the sort of responsibilities they entail. As head of the house, they ensure that the rest of the family is well-fed with a roof over their heads while protecting their family from the evils of the world.

But some fathers and husbands can sometimes be that very same source of evil, as this case reported by China Press and Sin Chew Daily comes to show.

A government servant who works as a driver was just charged in Kuala Kangsar yesterday (30th October 2019) for committing the most unthinkable acts: sodomising his wife against her will over 104 times in the course of only 3 months, and sexually assaulting three of his daughters!

The sodomy incidents with his wife happened in the family home in Sungai Siput between March 1st 2019 and June 3rd 2019, while the sexual assault incidents on his daughters were committed between May 4th 2019 and May 7th 2019 in the same house.

It was understood that the man had sodomised his wife up to 3 times a day.

What was most horrific, on top of the already unspeakable crimes the man committed against his own family, was the fact that his 3 daughters were only five, 10 and 12-years-old! It was reported that he allegedly touched the breasts and buttocks of his underage daughters, before asking them to touch his genitals.

It was after these sexual assault incidents on her underage daughters that the abused mother made a report to the police, and had her husband arrested on 16th October 2019.

For all his evil acts, the man was charged with a total of 111 counts of sexual crime.

These include crimes under Section 377C (Committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent, etc.) of the Penal Code and Section 14 and 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. Both of these crimes is liable for jail time up to 20 years as well as whipping, if found guilty. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

The judge presiding over this case has set 28th November 2019 for mention.

We hope that the law will put this man firmly behind bars, and that his wife and children will be able to recover from their trauma.
