A group of cinemagoers were allegedly late to the movies recently and asked the staff to refund their money.

In an official statement by TGV Cinemas, the entertainment company responded to a viral incident that is circulating on TikTok, in which a group of people were late to the screening of the local movie Blood Brothers: Bara Naga.

The group were said to have been late 20 minutes for their screening and had missed the opening scene.

So, they allegedly entered another hall where the same movie had just started and took the seats belonging to other patrons.

The cinema ushers were informed of the matter, and they asked the group to return to their designated hall and seats. The group, however, were not happy about the matter and asked for a refund after they had missed a part of the movie.

TGV Cinemas confirmed that they did not hand out any refunds.

In its statement, TGV Cinemas sent a friendly reminder to all its patrons and reminded them to stick to the seats they buy to prevent inconveniences to themselves and others.

“If you found your seats occupied by other patrons, do inform us and we will solve the matter for you. We will not process any refunds if you were late to the movies.”

The matter took place at TGV Cinemas in Seri Manjung, Perak.

To avoid disappointment, do plan your journey and keep in mind that all shows start 15 to 20 minutes after the mentioned showtimes as advertisements will be played before the movie commences.
