A shooting took place at a shopping complex in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, at around 10pm last night (February 8), causing the visitors to flee the scene.

In a viral TikTok post by @aroy_shem, the man claimed there were shots fired allegedly at a goldsmith shop in the mall, and people were seen running away from the scene. In a report by Kosmo, the Chief Police of Shah Alam district, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the shooting.
Multiple patrol cars and PDRM officers were also spotted in the area.
In another report by Harian Metro, Iqbal said PDRM would release a statement soon. As of now, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

GSC Cinemas also took to its Facebook page and revealed that the public had been evacuated due to the shooting incident before the mall was closed for safety purposes.
In another updated report by Astro Awani, PDRM believed that the suspect is a local who fired 8 shots, which injured a man in the leg and he has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect is believed to still be in the nearby area, and he escaped from the mall by getting into a car that was forcibly boarded. The vehicle owner, however, has filed a police report and PDRM believed that the suspect does not possess his own transport.
