Whatever happens, things can be discussed in a civil manner and once you get physical, chances are the blame might be on you.

Just recently, a video showing an argument between a man with another driver has circulated on social media. The man in red is seen coming out of his car and quickly marching towards the lady’s car where he knocked on her window repeatedly.

The lady rolled down her window and the man vented his anger with some vulgarities.

“You’re playing with people’s lives! Do you want me to slap you here? Do you know who I am?”

The woman politely explained what actually happened but the man was not happy with that, and he smacked her head, rendering her speechless. He continued to threaten her by saying, “I’m gonna smash your face!”,  before going back to his car and driving away.

The viral video has gained many reactions from netizens, with many criticising the un-gentlemanly act, while others insisted that there are always 2 sides to a story and the woman might be at fault too. Regardless, PDRM has since nabbed the man yesterday (6 June), and here’s what happened.

According to a police statement released by PDRM in Perak, the incident happened on Monday (June 5) around 5:33 pm when the woman was on the way to Tapah, Perak from Cameron Highlands. Her 17-year-old brother was in the car with her when she attempted to overtake the man’s grey Proton Persona but failed to do so.

The driver of the Proton Persona, who is 29 years old then pointed his middle finger before slowing down his car, causing traffic. He then got out of his car, and the rest happened as shown in the video.

Based on PDRM’s investigation, the Proton Persona is registered to a woman whose address is in Tanjung Karang, Selangor.

“The suspect is a supervisor of a factory in Serdang, Selangor, and he has been brought to IPD Tapah for further investigations under Section 323, Section 506, and Section 509 of the Penal Code.”

Kid & wife in car

Now, here’s the story from the man’s side, as his police report has since gone viral too and according to his report, the circulated video only showed a portion of what really happened.

According to the suspect, the woman in her Perodua Myvi attempted to overtake him to the extent where his car was ALMOST hit by her, causing him to slam on the brakes. He continued driving for a bit until he descended from his car to confront the woman.

What the public did not know was, the man also had his 2 year-old child and his wife, who is 8 months pregnant in the car. This explains why he was so upset about the Myvi driver “playing with other people’s lives”.

The man decided to lodge a police report after his video went viral due to the misconception that he has gotten from the public. You can click here to read the full report, and watch the clip below.

Do you think the man could’ve handled the situation better? In the meantime, please drive safe and do be patient if it’s too dangerous to overtake another car.
