A Batik Air flight from Hanoi, Vietnam to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia had to be delayed when a passenger refused to obey the rules.

The passenger, believed to be a Vietnamese, refused to fasten her seatbelt even when the cabin crew had urged her to do so multiple times.

In a viral TikTok video posted by @fegiegie, the passenger was seen in a heated argument with the cabin crew, who did their best to remain calm while dealing with the passenger. The argument started when the passenger accused the cabin crew of pointing fingers at her.

The cabin crew calmly but firmly told the passenger to “stop yelling at me.” Unfortunately, the passenger insisted on NOT fastening her seatbelt and as the matter escalated, authorities had to intervene.

The passenger was escorted off the flight

Eventually, the passenger had to be escorted off the flight after the matter had caused a 3-hour delay, with the argument alone taking almost an hour.

In another TikTok video by @fegiegie, other passengers could be heard cheering as she was forced to leave the flight.

WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to @fegiegie for comment but has yet to hear back.

In a statement by the spokesperson of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro confirmed the matter and said the event took place on January 5.

“During the inspection, the cabin crew found a passenger who did not follow safety rules by not fastening her seatbelt.”

As the situation escalated, Danang stated that, following a procedural discussion, they ultimately decided to remove the passenger from the flight.

“The passenger was categorised as Inappropriate Behavior to Cabin Crew . Therefore, she was asked to leave the plane.”

The cabin crew involved received praise online

“The cabin crew was angry but remained gentle when she said ‘Stop yelling at me’. So good!”

“Poor cabin crews, they have to face all kinds of attitudes.”
