Menteri Besar of Pahang Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the restriction for restaurants is now revoked, with SOPs and social distancing to comply with. Senior Citizens above 60 years old and children aged below 12 years old are now allowed to dine-in at eateries in Pahang.
The eateries include restaurants, hawker centres, food stalls, food trucks, food courts, kiosks, and also highway rest-stops.
Other facilities at the rest-stops such as the surau, are also open for public use.
“The state government of Pahang also planned to abolish the limit of customers allowed to sit at dining tables, and the permission will be in effect immediately,” said Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy, according to The Star.
“This comes after examining the current situation. It is also another step in the reopening of business operations in the state under the recovery movement control order,” said Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy in a statement on 19 June 2020.
Nevertheless, he also advised the public to adhere to SOPs and social distancing of at least 1 meter while dining in.
Don’t forget to sanitize your hands and always wear masks when you are out for a meal!
