Malaysia-based Japanese influencer sora_fula needs no introduction after her mistake of turning Cendol from a dessert to an entre.
Now she is on a role again after mistakenly frying Nangka, aka Jackfruit, instead of the usual Cempedak or Chempedak as part of her next culinary adventure.
“Do Malaysians fry this? My friend told me that I need to fry this,” she said.
She continues her sharing by doing it outdoors, using charcoal and a rather shallow pan with oil just enough to fry Nasi Goreng.
“The fruit is tough to peel and feels sticky to the touch.”
After successfully opening the fruit, she dumps it into the frying pan without the usual batter technique we are all used to.
“Is this correct? This is my first time frying fruit. It smells cooked and sweet.”
