Controversial entrepreneur, Datuk Aliff Syukri is no stranger to criticism, and just recently, the teaser for his recent Raya song Cak Kun Cak Raya received major hate online. It’s not his first rodeo but this time, Aliff has something to say to defend his “masterpiece” and the tight clothing.
“I’m not naked, right?”
According to Harian Metro, the concept of the video was suggested by Aliff’s cosmetician, which he had no issues with. To Aliff, as long as the outfit is not sexy and he’s not naked, it shouldn’t be a problem at all.
“If we look at the gymnasium dance or at the pool, aren’t they just the same thing?”
As for the netizens who think that Aliff and the dancers went overboard with the outfit, Aliff said it’s entirely up to them.
“I’m covering my aurat and I’m not holding anyone’s hand. That’s just art,” he explained.
The self-declared Malaysia’s number 1 singer also said that as a public figure, he knows what has to be adhered to for his MV to be accepted by TV and radio stations, as well as knowing what his fans want. All he’s asking for is some space to create content.
“Please give me some space to entertain. I know a lot of fans are waiting for my songs, and please accept me as an artist. Just take it as an entertainment and don’t take it seriously.”
In the meantime, Aliff also assured the people that he will take into consideration of everyone’s feelings, especially his family and wife. He also urged the public not to go after his family when criticising him.
“As a public figure, I can’t stop or fight those criticisms. Just don’t go after my wife who is giving birth soon. Thank you to those insulting me.”
In his IG post yesterday (April 2), Aliff revealed that the release date of his full MV for Cak Kun Cak Raya has been delayed as he is currently focusing on his wife who is about to give birth.
All he needs is some space to do what he enjoys – entertaining Malaysians. Do you think Aliff went overboard with his latest MV?
