In his daily press conference update today, Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, announced that the initial ruling which declared that all citizens were prohibited from travelling more than 10km beyond their houses would now be withdrawn under the conditional MCO (CMCO), reported BERNAMA.

Roadblock Penang Mco 200420B

The regulation, which was made under subsection 11 (2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342), initially dictated the 10km radius prohibition along with the regulation that a person leaving the house must not be accompanied by anyone unless they have a just cause.

However, with the implementation of the CMCO, this ruling has also been changed with 4 people now allowed to occupy one vehicle as long as they are from the same household.

Stay tuned for more updates!
