While it is still unknown on whether the ‘Hot Thai Guy’ event at Privacy Club Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, will happen or not, many have already expressed their dissatisfaction over the presence of the hunky men in lingerie.
Though, for one person, the dissatisfaction apparently stems from embarrassment over the association with their family’s name.
Disgraced former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s son, Datuk Mohd. Nazifuddin Najib took to his Facebook page to share how embarrassed he is that his grandfather’s name, Tun Razak, is displayed on the ‘Hot Thai Guy’ poster.
He wrote, “The promotion of the ‘Thai Hot Guy’ show scheduled for 30 March 2023 at a club located in the capital has gone viral. I strongly object to this kind of extra show in the month of Ramadhan which is now approaching, where is is more afdhal (excellent) to promote events of knowledge or events of religious content.”
“In addition, using my Tokda Allahyarham Tun Abdul Razak’s name as a promotional material or article is very embarrassing for my extended family. This is very, very inappropriate and I see it as an insult to the deceased himself, disappointed and sad, this is what nestles in my heart.”
Considering the club hosting the Thai Hot Guy show is located on Jalan Tun Razak, it has since been named ‘Privacy Tun Razak’.
Nazif Najib has also called for the show to be shut down
“I hope that the authorities take strict action against the organisers so that this matter can be prevented and dealt with according to the legal methods of our country.”
I never meant to prevent non-Muslims from having fun, but there needs to be justification in approving this kind of entertainment in the life of a multi-religious and multi-ethnic country,” he added.
What do you think about this? Would you too be embarrassed should you be in Najib’s son’s shoes?
