Ever since the first lockdown was imposed, many of our lives were turned upside down. Many of us experienced long periods of monotony and started to feel like life was very mundane.

In fact, as Malaysians, whenever we start to feel like life in lockdown is getting too boring, we’d immediately think of having our favourite food to cheer ourselves up. After all, the way to our hearts is through our stomachs, right? 😉

Well, if you relate to what we’re saying 100%, we’ve got great news for you!

Tiger Beer has just launched their Tiger Street Food Box and it’s every Malaysian foodie’s dream come true! Pre-orders are open now ’til the 15th of June!

With bold collaborations such as myBurgerLab x Yut Kee & Devi’s Corner x Li’s, prepare for an out-of-the-box street food experience with classic and modern favourites. This will definitely inject some excitement into our daily lives! Do note that the Tiger Street Food Box is only available to non-Muslims aged 21 and above.

If you currently reside in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor, you can place your pre-orders for this exclusive Tiger Street Food Box and have it delivered right to your doorstep.

Bringing together KL’s classic street food vendors and modern restaurants such as Devi’s Corner, Yut Kee, myBurgerLab, Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches, Megah Taiwan Sausage, Mama Manta, Fifty Tales, Choon Prawn Mee House, and LI, the Tiger Street Food Box contains some exciting mashups of their signature dishes. This is what truly sets the Tiger Street Food Box apart.

You won’t be able to find these exclusive collaboration dishes anywhere else so make sure you try them while you still can! Wanna know more about the dishes? Let’s go through them together:

1. myBurgerLab x Yut Kee: Yut Kee Hainanese Chicken Tribute 2.0

Myburgerlab X Yut Kee Hainanese Chicken Chop Burger

A classic yet contemporary collaboration, this Hainanese Chicken Chop burger is myBurgerLab’s tribute to one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic eateries, Yut Kee.

You’ll get the classic Yut Kee flavours from their signature gravy and marinade but you’ll also experience a surprise twist from the blueberry jam all sealed together with myBurgerLab’s charcoal buns! What a gastronomical experience!

2. myBurgerLab x Mama Manta: Flamin’ Hot Sambal Burger

Myburgerlab X Mama Manta Flamin Hot Sambal Burger

Another myBurgerLab tribute to Mama Manta’s Grilled Fish Sambal that has been an ikan bakar staple for over 18 years, now reimagined as a burger! Combining the spiciness from the sambal complemented by Creamy Lime Sauce and a piece of fried chicken thigh in between two fluffy charcoal buns, what’s not to love?

3. myBurgerLab x Fifty Tales: Cheeseburger Deep Fried Sui Kow

Myburgerlab X Fifty Tales Cheese Fried Sui Kow

Is this a… cheeseburger dumpling? Why, yes it is! The lads from Fifty Tales mixed two traditional dishes from two different cultures resulting in a delicious, deep-fried masterpiece.

Minced rib-eye with onions, tomato, mustard and cheese wrapped in a dumpling skin that’s deep-fried for that crunchy exterior and juicy interior! Truly, unlike any other.

4. Ticklish Ribs and ‘Wiches x Taiwan Megah Sausage: Pork Lard & Taiwan Sausage Fried Rice with Asian BBQ Ribs

Ticklish Ribs X Megah Taiwan Sausage Pork Lard Taiwan Sausage Fried Rice With Asian Bbq Ribs

From the talented hands of Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches and Megah Taiwan Sausage, this classic Malaysian dish is overflowing with flavours from the Pork Lard & Taiwan Sausage both of which are used to fry the rice to perfection in super high heat.

Megah Taiwan Sausage is famous for its spicy Taiwanese sausages while Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches are known for their lip-smacking Asian BBQ ribs resulting in a unique dish that you won’t experience anywhere else!

5. Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches x Devi’s Corner: Grilled Chicken Wings with Mango Pachadi Glaze

Ticklish Ribs X Devis Corner Chicken Wings With Mango Pachadi

Get ready for the most unique chicken wing experience you’ll ever get with Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches’ marinated chicken wings glazed in the famous mango chutney from Devi’s Corner!

If you’re a fan of sweet and savoury dishes, one serving of these juicy chicken wings is definitely not enough!

6. LI x Devi’s Corner: Eggplant with Lentils & Coconut Chutney in Flatbread

Li X Devis Corner Eggplant Lentil With Coconut Chutney In Flatbread

This one is for all you vegetarians out there! An exciting collaboration from the famous Devi’s Corner and Li, this vegetarian flavour bomb will be like a party in your mouth!

Eggplant and lentils are cooked until it forms a creamy texture topped with chutney to tie in all the flavours and finally, stuffed in a piece of flatbread. Amazing!

7. LI x Yut Kee: Pork Toast with Sambal Belacan Mayo

Li X Yut Kee Hainanese Marinated Pork Toast

A signature Yut Kee dish that everyone knows, the Roti Babi has been a staple for many of us growing up. Instead of creating something new with it, the team at Li decided to pay homage in a different way.

The pork is made with Yut Kee’s marinade paired with Yut Kee’s signature sambal belacan that is made into an incredible mayonnaise by Chef Heng Kit.

8. Fifty Tales x Choon Prawn Mee House: Smoked Oil Prawn Mee with Prawn Mee Broth Braised Pork

This dish, made by Fifty Tales’ Aaron, is unlike any other. Prawn noodles are a Malaysian favourite and the Prawn Noodle Broth from Ah Choon is no stranger to us. With this in mind, Aaron decided to create a dry version of the soup based prawn noodles.

He also uses the broth to braise the pork shoulder to further enhance the prawn mee flavours into the meat. The noodles are then paired with smoked oil that is made in-house to give it that wok hei aroma. Revolutionary!

9. Devi’s Corner x LI: Rava Thosai Wrap with Ginger Scallion Chicken

Devis Corner X Li Ghee Dhosai Wrap

This is a dish that we ALL should try at least once! A dish where Indian cuisine meets Chinese cuisine providing an amalgamation of flavours in one dish!

The Rava Thosai wrapped with Indian spices pairs amazingly with the signature chicken rice chicken topped with Ginger Scallion Sauce. Every Malaysian’s dream come true!

That’s it for our list but these are just some of the amazing dishes that are included in the Tiger Street Food Box! With these unique collaborations, we think this experience is truly unlike any other! Whether or not you’re a foodie, you’re definitely gonna want to try these amazing concoctions at least once.
