The store owner was charged in court yesterday (17 March) and pleaded guilty to the offence. He was sentenced to two weeks in prison and fined RM1,000.

“Following the investigation, on 17 March, the suspect was charged at the Bachok Magistrate’s Court under Section 354 of the Penal Code,” Yusoff said.

He added that the fine has been paid, and the accused will serve his two-week prison sentence effective from the date of his arrest.
