Malaysians were left in awe after a group of complete strangers banded together to lift a car out of a ditch in Ipoh, Perak.

The 大马一定行 Facebook page shared how a woman and her boyfriend witnessed a driver lose control of their vehicle, resulting in a tyre becoming wedged in a roadside trench. When the couple rushed to assist, they weren’t alone for long, as passers-by joined in without a second thought!

A selfless display of unity

The post recounted: “A car accidentally went out of control and its wheel became stuck in a roadside ditch, leaving it completely immobilised. Seeing the driver in this predicament, the woman and her boyfriend didn’t hesitate and immediately went to see if they could help.”

“What happened next was even more touching,” the post continued.

“Strangers passing by witnessed the scene and, remarkably, not one chose to stand idly by or simply pull out their phone to film. Without a word, and regardless of race or social status, everyone rolled up their sleeves and rushed over.”

Within minutes, the group managed to hoist the heavy vehicle out of the ditch using nothing but their bare hands and sheer determination.

What makes Malaysia beautiful is its people

大马一定行 went on to explain that Malaysia’s greatest strength is the kind-heartedness of its citizens.

“The most beautiful scenery in Malaysia is indeed its people! Whenever we see a car break down or an accident on the road, there is always a group of kind-hearted Malaysians rushing out to push, lift, and even direct traffic,” they added.
