After intense rumours going around of Muhyiddin’s resignation, it seems that it may be happening tomorrow (Monday, 16 August).
According to MalaysiaKini, Malaysia’s Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin expressed his decision to resign to Bersatu MPs today. He did so at the Perikatan Nasional (PN) headquarters at Publika.
“We just finished the meeting. Tomorrow, there will be a special Cabinet meeting. After that, he will head to Istana Negara to submit his resignation,” said Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan.
This report comes after 11 sectors of the economy was announced to reopen for Phase 1 states. These sectors include:
- Car wash centres
- Electrical and electronics stores
- Home and kitchen goods stores
- Furniture stores
- Sports equipment stores
- Car accessories stores
- Car distribution and sales centres
- Morning markets and farmers markets
- Clothing, fashion and accessory stores
- Jewelry stores
- Barbershop and salons (basic barber services only)
