It might be worth considering throwing a surprise party for that person who insists they don’t want one. Because, truth be told, no matter what the surprise is, they’ll probably end up loving it!
In a recent TikTok video from user @atansharibun_, he captures the heartwarming surprise his group planned for their friend’s birthday in Sungai Rungkup, Perak.
His friends surprised him with a cake and live music performance!
In the video, the birthday boy can be seen jumping with excitement as his friends surprise him not only with a birthday cake but also with live music performed by Indian musicians.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Atan shared how he and his friends are photographers and videographers from Teluk Intan, Perak. He continued to share how the idea initially came from him.
“I wanted to do something a little different for his surprise birthday by inviting Indian musicians who were my friends. And the reason for my decision is because of the unique instruments that they use.”
Bringing the 1 Malaysia spirit!
Atan mentioned that he wanted to include Indian musicians because Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures and religions. His purpose was to bring the “1 Malaysia” spirit in the surprise.
“We wanted to infuse the “1 Malaysia” spirit into the surprise. We figured, why not shake things up a bit to make it more memorable and unexpected?”
He went on to share how after the live performance, everyone, including the musicians, gathered together to sit and enjoy the cake.
They purposely didn’t wish him on his birthday
Atan mentioned how the bithday boy was caught off guard, given that his birthday had already passed a few days prior to the surprise celebration.
“We purposely didn’t say anything on his actual birthday. And funny enough, we already had plans to hang out with him on the last day of Raya, so he had no clue!”
