Late last week, it was reported that a Malaysian couple’s hotel room in Paris, France, was broken into and their valuables were taken by a robber.
Now, it appears that there may be more victims.
According to a report by Actu17, another Malaysian tourist who was staying at the Ritz in Paris had to endure the same experience, after discovering that her diamond ring, which costs a whopping 750,000 Euros (RM3,778,363.85), had disappeared from her room.
The Malaysian businesswoman allegedly checked into the hotel room located in one of the most prestigious districts there on Thursday (7 December) and had left the diamond ring on a bedside table in the room. The next morning, after returning from a shopping trip at 11:30am, she discovered that the ring was gone.
Later that evening, she went to a police station to make a report and officers visited her hotel room to launch the investigation by identifying first clues.
The ring was found!
It was later reported that hotel security found the missing diamond ring inside a vacuum cleaner bag, and it was promptly returned to its owner.
Considering this isn’t the first incident in which a break in has happened at a hotel room (as there were several other incidents in the past), we urge everyone to keep their valuables safely while visiting the city of love.
