A video is currently going viral as it showcases multiple vehicles turning into a one-way traffic light junction and driving against traffic on Tuesday (9 December).

The #UpdateInfo X page shared the video, taken from the dashboard camera of a vehicle, which shows bicycles, motorcycles, and cars turning into the one-way junction and going against traffic.

A bus also attempted to turn in

They wrote, “It’s not just one or two people doing it. This means that this has become a norm for the people there. What’s wrong is wrong.”

In the video, even a bus attempted to turn into the one-way traffic light junction, but the vehicle with the dashboard camera had stopped at the traffic light, causing the way to be blocked and the bus to turn away.

The video also shows what appears to be traffic congestion on the other side of the road, where the vehicles should be turning into.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear where the incident occurred.

What Malaysians had to say

Netizens shared various opinions on this matter, including how the authorities could make a lot of money by summoning all of those who turned onto the one-way street and drove against traffic.

“JPJ (Road Transport Department) or traffic police should standby here. They can make money (through summons). But that’s the thing. People are stupid.”
