In the cycle of life and death, life is a celebration while death is a thing to mourn. What more when the deceased is a family member whom you used to see every day, and one day you just see them lying lifeless in a wooden box with all the promises between the two of you unfulfilled?
On 14th July, a Facebook user uploaded a post which went viral. The post was about the death of her mother 33 days before her convocation ceremony.
The post can be loosely translated into:
Bringing forward our family graduation portrait by 33 days. You said before that, on the day of my convocation ceremony, all of us must wear blue clothes to look good. Today dad and brother wore their blue shirts but brother borrowed his from dad. Haha. I chose this blue shirt for you because I think it looks better on you than on me. Even though this is not the actual university graduation robe but this will have to do for now. As long as it looks legitimate. Mommy, your darling has graduated 33 days earlier…
The post has since garnered over 3,000 shares and over 9,500 comments.
That was one big emotional roller-coaster ride. We do hope that her mother rests in peace and that they will be able to get through this as a family.
