About a week ago, a local 29-year-old Muhammad Zaim had been sentenced to 7 days in jail after he had threatened a lady driver and smacked her on her forehead during a road rage incident.

You would think that he’d learn his lesson at that point, right? WRONG.

According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, the man is once again facing jail time for once again assaulting others. This time, he was taken to the Cameron Highlands Magistrate Court for slapping 2 restaurant workers, one Malaysian and one foreign.

Slap 1

It happened when the man was at the restaurant where the 2 waiters were working, and had gotten angry when his food arrived late. He then slapped the foreign worker twice before slapping the Malaysian worker 4 times.

The factory foreman also verbally abused the 2 workers.

Muhammad Zaim pleaded guilty to both counts of criminal intimidation and voluntarily causing hurt, and requested that the court give him a lighter sentence as he has a pregnant wife who is about to give birth at the end of the month as well as a young son.

The public prosecutor, on the other hand, called for the harsher sentence to serve as a reminder for him to not resort to violence.

He ultimately received 9 days in prison and a fine of RM1,000 for each count, and should he not pay his fine, he is to serve an additional 9 days.

What do you think about this? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
