Taking precautionary steps to not only ensure your own safety but also the safety of others, is a crucial value that’s important to have. Yet, there are always times when it may just be a safeguard rather than a legitimate issue.
A recent TikTok video posted by Malaysian user @puvaneswary1304 has been giving credence to that thought after she came across a rather amusing sight. In the 13-second clip, Puvanes captured a sign plastered outside someone’s home which read “Beware of Fierce Dogs”.
However, not a few seconds later she pans over to the visual of a couple of dogs who playfully jump on the gate and affectionately greet her. From touching her hands with their paws to lightly licking her fingers, the sign was seemingly a big stretch from how the dogs were actually behaving.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Puvanes, who is an inspector from the Selama District Police Headquarters, stated that she had been visiting a friend’s house during Deepavali season, and came across the cute animals.
According to the inspector, the dogs are owned by an uncle who operates a roadside stall she frequents after work, though this was the first time she had ever been to his house and seen his dogs.
Making waves online, many commenters couldn’t help but make funny jokes at the display, with one user saying that the sign was printed wrongly, and instead supposed to say “Beware of Loving Dogs”.
“They’re probably only fierce with their owner, but with strangers he’s sociable,” jested another user.
