Recently, the #HeartAttackChallenge (organised by YouTuber, David Micheal Frank) took social media by storm, where people from various corners of the world participated in an effort to showcase their talents as they try to hit the highest note in Demi Lovato’s Heart Attack, a song that is notoriously difficult to sing.
One Malaysian took part in the #HeartAttackChallenge as something fun to try, without even realising that it was an actual competition. Lo and behold, out of the thousands that participated, he outshined them all!
After going through the many submissions, David took to his YouTube page to name Fanzi Ruji the winner.
“Now I told you, I was going to be choosing the best performance, not the most popular one. However, this next one blew up. Now, finally the moment we’ve all been waiting for. In first place, the winner of my Heart Attack Singing Challenge is, with over three million views, Fanzi!” David announced in his video.
“I had no idea it was a contest!”
Fanzi Ruji, who is from Sabah, spoke to WORLD OF BUZZ in regards to his win, which he did not expect at all!
“It was an unexpected sweet surprise because I had no idea it was a contest. I joined the challenge just to follow with the trends. I woke up the next day, in shock, to find out that my TikTok video had garnered over a million views in less than 24 hours,”
“It feels like winning an Olympic medal. It was surreal, of all the 4,000 plus submissions, David picked me as the winner, a guy from Sabah, Malaysia. It’s amazing,” he shared.
No, Fanzi. What’s amazing is your voice!
