A car will sometimes reveal the mindset of a person.
In a recent Facebook post by Utarmeme, an anonymous Malaysian man said he had his eyes on the new Proton S70, which he said has nice interior. Despite what he thought, his dear GF is not a fan of his choice.
It was an embarrassment for her, even more so when her BFF’s partner drives a Honda Civic.
“Proton? Ew no!”
The sales advisor saw the couple arguing, and he tried to convince the girl about the pros of buying the new s70. Unfortunately, she didn’t buy it.
“Who drives Proton? Only Bangladeshis do!”
Since Civic was her option, the man decided to go with her option. With his budget, he could only afford a used Honda Civic and asked his GF to chip in RM200 every month, to which she said no.
“I was getting ready to eat bread and noodles every day for the car.”
Here comes Civic, and yet another problem
Earlier this month, the man finally got his Civic delivered to his doorstep, and he couldn’t deny how comfortable it was to be behind the wheel. At the same time, his GF spoke about the used BMW 3 series that her BFF’s partner recently bought.
“There she goes again. She couldn’t stop admiring her BFF, saying how rich her BF is. I lost my patience and had an argument with her on the spot.”
The argument escalated to bodily insults before the girl left the house.
The man did not reveal if he had made up with his partner but here’s a food for thought – is the kind of car you drive really that important?
