The Member of Parliament (MP) for Segambut, Hannah Yeoh is definitely one of the most popular Ministers serving in the current Cabinet lineup, with many Malaysians praising her performance as the Youth and Sports Minister.
It seems that her popularity extends to individuals and organisations she’s working with too as seen by how the Malaysian Football League (MFL) prepared a birthday surprise for Yeoh during the Malaysian League Organisational Meeting & Malaysian League Stadium and Venue Management Briefing for the 2024/25 Season yesterday (9 January).
Taking to her official Facebook page, the Youth and Sports Minister shared a video of MFL bringing out a cake celebrating her during the meeting, with all in attendance joining in and singing a happy birthday to a visibly blushing Yeoh.
Most notably, the meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Crown Prince of Johor (TMJ), who also sang and wished Yeoh a happy birthday.

Speaking of the Johor Crown Prince, Tunku Ismail during the meeting consented to contribute RM300,000 for pitch maintenance for the first year to each team that accepts a grant of RM500,000 from the Youth and Sports Ministry for a new quality field and drainage system.

The grant from the ministry comes following a discussion between Tunku Ismail and Yeoh last year. The contribution and grant were meant to improve the quality of football infrastructure in Malaysia and with it, better footballing standards.

When contacted, a source from the Youth and Sports Ministry told WORLD OF BUZZ that Yeoh wasn’t aware of the birthday celebration during the meeting and was very surprised when they brought out the cake.
The surprise birthday party was planned by MFL and Hotel Sunway in Iskandar Puteri, Johor where the meeting was held. Aww, so wholesome!
