After returning to his hometown in India following several years in Malaysia, a TikToker known as Kani Boy decided to open a Malaysian-inspired eatery called Tomyam Malaysia in Panaikulam, Tamil Nadu.
The restaurant, which specialises in popular Malaysian dishes such as nasi lemak, mee sotong, satay, and more, was recently featured in an influencer’s TikTok video, sparking even more interest in Malaysian cuisine in the area.
In the video, this influencer showcases a variety of dishes, starting with.
“Here is a Malaysian original Milo. Milo Ais Dinosaur. Here is Mee Goreng… mmm… aha… really good.”
He continues to share more dishes like nasi lemak and rojak, accompanied by his signature reactions, the familiar “mmm” and “aha” that fans have come to love.
Malaysians in the comments section responded enthusiastically:
