A businessman’s dream of owning a Lamborghini was shattered after he was deceived by a used car dealer, resulting in a loss of more than RM2.4 million.
According to a report by Harian Metro, the Director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CID), Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, shared that the 34-year-old businessman, who realised he had been deceived, lodged a police report on February 19 (Wednesday).
Based on his report, he had met a man, the suspect, who offered him a Lamborghini Aventador S in June 2020.

The businessman even got to test drive the car
“The complainant met the suspect several times and also test drove a car of the same type at a motor company in Puchong, Selangor, and was also shown the customs import form to prove that the car he wanted to buy was imported,”
“Starting June 15, 2020, the complainant made 18 payments to the company account given by the suspect with a total payment of RM2.4 million,” he said.
Then, in January 2022, after not receiving the car as promised, the suspect sent him several photos of a seizure notice document of the car purchased while ensuring that he would resolve the problem.

However, the businessman has not received the car until now, leading him to believe he was deceived and to make the police report.
“The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code. The police are currently actively tracking a man named Lim Voi Heng, whose last address was at Pangsapuri Sri Indah, Taman Sungai Besi, Seri Kembangan, Selangor,” he added.
